MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO

Kaitlyn

My journey into birth work began through my massage career, where I learned labor massage and had the honor of supporting a dear client through one of her births. What I didn’t realize at the time was how full circle this path would become for me. I previously worked as a medical assistant in an OB/GYN office, and those early experiences quietly planted the seeds for the work I do today.

As a doula, licensed massage therapist, birth educator, and meditation teacher, I am deeply passionate about helping families prepare for birth. I want to tell you something : you don't have to be pregnant to start preparing for birth.

Whether you're newly pregnant, weeks from your due date, or just beginning to dream about starting a family — this is your place to learn, prepare, and arrive at birth already feeling like yourself.

Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, or something in between, my intention is to support you with evidence-based education, unwavering encouragement, and reassurance that you were made for this. I believe birth is not something to fear, but something to be embraced with confidence, peace, and purpose.

When I’m not serving families, you’ll usually find me relaxing at home with my partner, hanging with friends, trying new restaurants in town or traveling to the mountains to hike, explore, and reconnect with nature.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Pregnancy and birth are both equally as exciting as they are intimidating and scary things! But you don't have to navigate that journey alone. I am happy to be here to support you from long before labor through the birthing process. Below are some frequently asked questions! Want to learn more or have another question? What happens during our prenatal visits?

The prenatal visit is a time where you, your partner and your doula would meet at a time of your choosing to help you feel better connected, prepared and informed.

- a time to create get comfortable with each other
- to review options, scenarios & birth preferences
- to practice or demo positions or ways your partner can help
- to be on the same page about what your goals and wishes are so everyone feels united and ready to amplify your voice & so much more!

You can create a loose agenda ahead of time or intuitively move through the prenatal visit. This is a great time to bring questions that are hard to text/email about so you can have in-depth conversations about concepts, mindset shifts, what to expect, etc.

How does a doula work with my partner?

Many believe a doula takes over the partner's role, but in reality, we support both of you. Our goal as your doula is to enhance the support system, including your partner.

Your partner knows you better than anyone else, understanding your fears, preferences, and desires. We work as a team, encouraging and guiding them, reminding them to stay hydrated and take breaks. Even if they've experienced birth before, they also need support and reassurance.

What support and guidance will I receive with the full doula support?

- On-call from 38-42 weeks

- Unlimited labor birth massage & support

- Early labor support at home, the hospital, or the birth center throughout labor and usually about one - two hours after

- Breastfeeding support immediately after birth

- Implementing your comfort measure to ensure you have the best birth experience

When is it safe to get a prenatal massage?

Prenatal massage is a gentle and supportive technique to manage stress on the body and to relieve any tension and discomfort throughout your pregnancy journey. It is generally safe throughout pregnancy but more widely recognized as safe through the second and third trimesters.

When do you recommend a postpartum massage?

You can get a postpartum massage as soon as you feel comfortable after giving birth. This can be done immediately after any type of birth. As pregnancy and childbirth can have lingering impacts on your physical and emotional body, it’s important to remember to nurture yourself. Massage after giving birth can regulate your hormones, release endorphins (decreasing pain sensations), and lower residual swelling. Womb care can be done as soon as 6 weeks following birth.
